Okay okay I know i haven't posted for a while - been too busy - but for those of you who have asked the drift wood comes from Redcar, Seaton Carew and Seaham (where I also get the seaglass...look it up online - the old Victorian glass factory and the fact it is the only place in the world that multi-coloured seaglass can be found!)
However I regularly take a trip to the west coast of Scotland - Oban and the Mull of Galloway, where some excellent bleached pieces can be found particularly in some of the secluded coves that can only be reached by Kayak - Some of these pieces i treat like currency (you wouldn't believe what people are selling driftwood for on ebay) most i keep with a few ideas in mind for some special perhaps less commercial work........ Ill post some examples and you'll see what I mean...you might have some ideas yourselves? More blogs in future i promise.
